Projects: Pi Alley Parking Garage
The challenge was to construct the Pi Alley Garage web site as an information rich resource for its target audiences, leveraging the appropriate technologies to support Pi Alley Garage's core focus – namely effectively and concisely communicating the value proposition of using its garages and filling up empty parking spaces.
I. The look and feel of the current web site is old-fashioned and could use a technological facelift to reflect current day websites and technologies, as well as to enhance the viability of creating strategic partnerships with other businesses in the vicinity.
II. The current site uses a preponderance of graphic elements where it should instead be using text to optimize its search engine rankings, also known as Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site or a web page (such as a blog) from search engines via "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results as opposed to other forms of search engine marketing (SEM) which may deal with paid inclusion.
III. In order to take advantage of the multitude of businesses that Pi Alley Garage is able to support, a strategy that promotes events and locations within the vicinity will enable Pi Alley Garage to serve as an informational resource for dowtown Boston while providing parking at the same time.
